Distinguished Estate Planner Award

The purpose of the Distinguished Estate Planner Award ® is to honor an individual for outstanding contributions in the field of estate planning. To be eligible for the DEP Award, the recipient must have been involved in the field of estate planning for a minimum of 20 years, and have been a member of the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council for at least 15 years during his or her career.

The recipient must reflect, in practice, the goals for which our council was organized:

• to further the education of the members of the council and of the public in the field of estate planning;

• to promote cooperation and to foster a better understanding of the proper relationship among estate planners of different professions; and

• to provide a better understanding of estate planning and of the services that estate planners can render to the general public.

 

The designations/disciplines that are eligible for nomination are:

Accredited Estate Planner®

Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (TO)

Chartered Financial Consultant®

Attorney

Certified Wealth Strategist®

Chartered Life Underwriter®

Certified Financial Planner®

Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®

 

Certified Public Accountant

Chartered Financial Analyst

 

 

You may know one or more individuals that should be considered for the Distinguished Estate Planner Award. If so, please complete the nomination application to Jan Dungan, Executive Director, via email at admin@hrepc.org, by April 19, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.  The award will be presented at the Membership Meeting on May 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
